“The practice can be so intense, that I love to teach with lightness, compassion and a little bit of sense of humor. I love to take my students to listen and to know the limitations of their body.  Learn how to nourish yourself during the practice with gratitude and honoring what you are achieving today “ – Liliana Mejia

I started my journey in 2001 exploring different types of yoga such as Iyengar, Hatha, Anusara and Ashtanga Vinyasa. In that moment I had the privilege to study with experienced local teachers like Cristina Quezada, Consuelo Gonzalez, Herta Rogg, Alicia Ramos, Amado Cavazos and Laila Kuri. I got excited with the  movement, the breath and the consciousness that the Ashtanga Vinyasa gave me that I decided to deepen my practice to it.

In 2006 I traveled to San Francisco to do my 200 hrs. Ashtanga Vinyasa Teacher Training at It’s Yoga with Larry Schultz. With no expectation at all, something powerful happened, I had the opportunity to get to know The It’s Yoga System, the extraordinary ROCKET ®, their people,  and the famous LARRY SCHULTZ. What a great life experience, so honored to be at the right place with the correct people.

I continued my preparation taking other workshops and teacher trainings such as Yoga Kids and Family Teacher Training at It’s Yoga Kids at San Francisco, CA (2006), Prenatal and Postnatal Teacher Training at Santa Barbara Yoga Center at Santa Barbara, CA (2007), Rocket Training 50 hrs. at It’s Yoga Cancun, MX with David Kyle (2011),  Rocket Training 50 hrs. at It’s Yoga Toledo, OH with Marie Russel, Rocket Training 300 and 500 hrs at It’s Yoga in Toledo at Toledo OH with Marie Russel (2017), Restaurative Yoga Workshop with Herta Rogg at Mexico City (2007), Iyengar Yoga Workshop with Chantal Gomez Jauffred and Paul King at Cancun, Mx (2011), S. K Pattabbhi Jois World Tour 2006 at New York. I also had take short workshops with teachers as David Kyle, Michael Gannon, Dharma Mittra, Shiva Rea, Bryan Kest, Duncan Wong, Olivia Martinez, Kino McGregor, Tim Miller, Gerson Frau, Alejandro Quiyono, David Williams, Greg Nardi, among others.

I had teached workshops or trainings at Panama City, Mcallen and Brownsville Texas, San Salvador, and different cities of Mexico.

In 2007 I opened the doors of It’s Yoga Cancun, with the ambition of sharing the love of the practice.
